When I try to start pptpd by either using command
/etc/init.d/pptpd start
or simply
pptpd
Pptpd seems to fail to start as nothing happens and the prompt does not return until I press CTRL-c. Same thing happens during boot, the boot up process hangs when pptpd is started and I will have to press CRTL-ALT-DEL to restart.
I've seen this same problem described in the forum archives by other people as well, but I could not find a resolution.

Ok. I was able to figure out this by myself. The problem was solved when I added an extra new line at the end of the pptpd.conf file. pptpd seems not accept conf file if the last line is a comment.
