#38 Implementation assumes 32bit processor

The implementation of some cryptographic
algorithms, e.g. sha1, as supplied with the
kernel module assumes 32bit CPUs and has
been found to cause kernel heap corruption at
least on Alpha, IA64 and AMD 64bit CPUs (see
pptpclient-devel mailing list, e.g. my own posting

• there are numerous others reporting the same
  problem and most probably providing better
  patches).
