Running 1.1.4b3 and we notice the certain websites
such as www.hotmail.com, www.compaq.com and
running the yourspeed test at www.numion.com do not
load properly and exhibit poor performance. Other
applications such as ftp seem to work just fine and
performance is great. The common thing that I have
found with the websites that either do not load or load
very slowely is that it appears that the webserver is
trying to issue some sort of internal redirect or a
browser redirect to another website. Other sites such as
www.yahoo.com work quite fine. I can not think of a
reason for this - any ideas ? when we disconnect the
Windows XP PPP client these pages and performance to
these sites immediately improve and the sites that did
not work start working. I have not tried this on other
OS's besides Windows XP.

We are using Windows XP and using a WLAN PCMCIA card.

We have found the same problem as well. The problem however
does not seems to be related to internal redirects. In fact,
it is because the server IP does not respond to ICMP ping
request. The tcp connection suddenly stops midway for these
servers. www.slashdot.org, loginnet.passport.com, and
various other sites that do not respond to icmp get blocked
as well.

We did some more testing and found that that isn't the case,
please disregard my previous message.

We fixed the problem. Follow the instructions on this thread -

and now everything is working fine.
