Decided to restrict alleles shown here to 'multi-allele'
as single gene phenotype bypasses this part of the interface. Less to look at....

Decided to restrict alleles shown here to 'multi-allele'

    Where's "here"?

    So here
    http://curation.pombase.org/test/curs/7c20a74aaac437d9/genotype_manage

when you go to "find an existing genotype"

and select cdc2. Only show genotypes of cdc2 which have more than one allele, not the single-allele ones

Then these will be filtered further once you specify the second gene.

This isn't a show stopper for us using

I can understand why you'd like that change but it seems a bit inconsistent. Single allele genotypes are genotypes too. We should probably change the link to "Find an existing multi-allele genotype ..." and change the text on the page too - "Genotype search" should be "Multi-allele genotype search".

OK lets leave it as it is for now. We can do user testing to find out if any of the workflow is confusing. It works as it is and you are right it would be a bit inconsistent ...
