Hi, this touch idea seems very very interesting in terms of perception vs camouflage. I guess the whole point is to provide a way to gather more information about the things that exist in the universe, and to provide a possibility to mimick it or play with it (for mating purposes, say). I just wonder if the pleasure/pain is a touch sensation, or just the way my brain reacts to other sensations. That would be related to the extremeness of other sensastions such as hot or (rough and hard). As for suggestions for added sensations, I'd say animate/inanimate, or at least organic/inanimate. That's what causes the most irrational (and therefore reflex-oriented) reactions to things we touch...
