Just FYI, since the cvs emails still aren't going out, and so you know to do an update if you're working with Polyworld currently... A significant update has been checked into the SourceForge top-of-tree. It contains a lot of work by Sean Dougherty, adding support for: * a "give" (energy) behavior * contact/give/fight logging and analysis * speed proprioception input * datalib v3 with streaming * versioned brainFunction files, which now include numOutputNeurons, since this can now vary from run to run * "pwfarm" scripting support for running multiple copies of Polyworld and its data analysis scripts on the 10-machine Mac Mini compute farm One of the coolest things about this update is that it shows off how easy it is to add new input sensors and output behaviors, at runtime, thanks to some previous code refactoring Sean did on the brain and gene modules. A huge thanks and major kudos to Sean for a lot of really great work. - larryy |
