Up to version 2.7 Podcast Generator was a good, simple, basic podcast feed/hosting solution. It is great it doesn't need a database which makes it much easier to set up/move if needed. However after trying twice to update to a newer version, as of April 2021 we are on version 3.1.1, the updates have broken parts of the software and despite reports that some of these features have been fixed in the GitHub pages, they are still not working. Basic parts of the software such as text formatting and image uploading for podcasts are no longer working. The Podcast Generator website also offers outdated instalation instructions and FAQ pages having not been updated in line with the software. I hope the bugs and features can be worked out and fixed but at the moment I have had to roll back to version 2.7(again). As that is now somewhat outdated this is not ideal.

Very simple to use once you get it working. The Softaculous install has problems setting up the use of the Admin console. Unfortunately is does not support the Podcasting Index's namespace which means modern essentials like donation links, chapters, and seasons amongst other things have to be implemented manually. I recommend a manual install to save time troubleshooting.

This is a delightful system. It was easy to install (on Synology) with just one click. It generates a podcast feed that passes all of the validations. The feed worked perfectly for all of the aggregators -- itunes, google play, spreaker, tunein, stitcher, blubrry, etc. Remarkable that the author gives it away for free.

It really facilitates the work you should do! Thank you for this project. But I have one simple request, please add Turkish in the list of spoken languages on podcast.
