I'm really want to do this project to learn more about linux. I have 3 fairly new computers (one that has many different linux distros on it), but I don't have any old floppy drives. I can order a drive from New Egg for $6 - so should I actually get a floppy drive?

  Thanks! I splurged and got a floppy dive and pack of disks. :) I'll try it the traditional way first.

  also you can use an emulator like bochs.
