On completing Chapter 4 of Pocket Linux, everything seems to work satisfactorily. However, after booting from the floppy disks, when I ran the 'uname -a' command, the results were puzzling.
I expected to see the version number of the kernel that I built for pocket linux (2.6.16.13). Instead, I saw the kernel version number 2.6.16.13-smp. I did not enable SMP when I built the kernel. So, why is it showing up as such?
I would appreciate any clues that would help me understand these results.
