#41 problem instaling module

hi folks when i try to instsl the module the instal script
give this message

Unable to select database -- You must either create
your database manually or if you have root access let
the install script do it for you.

but I supose the script take the database values from
config.php

but the site works ok but can instal the module and not
have a sqk file to add manuali the database
please help
