[snip] Well, i think the thing is that Pmw allows the passthrough of tkinter config to the underlying tkinter base widgets (like label width and color e.g., for the Balloon widget). You'd essentially have to wrap all of that, and check what's allowed depending on which underlying toolkit you use, and it would be a pain to do. And besides, I think it would simply be a reimplementation of wxwidgets. That said, I'm always open to more discussion, and further, seeing as how I just recently started with Pmw, I am also open to the idea that I don't know what I'm talking about. :) P.S., taking this back on the list, for the same reasons as before. :) |
