Hello all. My friends and I have been setting up a cluster with openMosix. The only problem I am having right now is trouble migrating processes. The Setup: 35 166Mhz PI 64Mb PC's (2.4.20-openmosix-2 aka 2420.om2) 100mb network Network booted Plumpos. ( I stuck the modules in the ramdisk and packaged it in an nbi. Works quite well. Easy to do too. ) 1 333Mhz PII with Redhat 9 and 2.4.20-openmosix2 The problem: The problem is that processes started on the master node do not migrate to the other nodes. I can see the other nodes, er, openmosix recognizes them, and I can view their load with mosmon (Had to replace it with the one from the cd). Even if I use "mosrun -j### somecommand", it still just migrates back to the master. I also lowered the speed of the master so that it looks slower compared to the 166's, so it should migrate. I'm quite sure it's not the net booting that I did, because working between nodes is fine, just form the master is the problem. One other think I tried already: I tried replacing my redhat kernel with the plumpos one ~ that failed miserable. I also tried placing the redhat openmosix kernel in the plumpos, which just keeps rebooting the pc before booting..don't know why.. Any ideas are appriciated in getting this to work.
