Use more robust fix noted at http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?41965 by
Mike Miller which does not depend on assumptions about the internal
type used to represent Octave strings.
fwrite (fid, text, "schar"); ==> fprintf (fid, "%s", text);
This change passes the same test on Linux with Octave 3.6.2 as the last version.
