An acquaintance in our Victoria LUG has been kind enough to give me a shell account on his netbsd box for testing the recent CVS snapshot tarballs that Rafael has been generating at http://people.debian.org/~rafael/plplot.html. I haven't yet been able to get very far because it turns out there are a lot of Unix portability issues that need to be resolved. I have identified and fixed such issues (use of deprecated values.h) in lib/csa and lib/nn, Rafael has fixed others (empty for loops which some older bourne shells don't like), and Rafael is working on yet more issues that have been identified (generally, Gnu Makeism's that have crept into the Makefile.am files). Once those and any other Unix portability issues identified when I get deeper into the netbsd build) are sorted out, I will let you know on list here. That would be a good opportunity to try PLplot on other unices to see if there are any additional portability issues that need to be addressed. Alan __________________________ Alan W.
