[Plplot-devel] Font problem

Hi, 

on a SuSE 7.3 system we see this error while trying to run the x01c
example:

*** PLPLOT ERROR ***
Unable to open or allocate memory for font file
Program aborted
---------->8----------

Is this a known issue? Do I have to set some environment variables
first? 

Another thing is that on Debian unstable libtool fails:

Which version is known to work? This should be put into the FAQ...
