I say move it.  It's been a while since any significant changes have been made
to it IIRC, but soon I have plans for it.  And, one can always see the rev
history by going to the drivers dir and doing a 'cvs log' even if the file
has been cvs rm'ed.  Be sure to mention where it came from & what version
in the first commit of the file in the new location.
