[Plplot-devel] problem with --disable-cxx

ged$ ./configure --prefix=$HOME/tools --enable-dyndrivers --disable-cxx

gives:

...
checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes
checking for dynamic drivers... null pbm plmeta ps pstex tk xwin 
creating drivers/drivers.db
configure: error: conditional "am__fastdepCXX" was never defined.
Usually this means the macro was only invoked conditionally.

and that's where it stops.
