Joao is having trouble getting mail to the list so I am forwarding this for him. ___________________________________________________ I follow the receipt, and: bash-2.01$ uname -a OSF1 alf.fe.up.pt V4.0 1091 alpha bash-2.01$ ./configure --enable-dyndrivers No defaults file found, performing full configure. No defaults file found, performing full configure. No defaults file found, performing full configure. configure: error: cannot find install-sh or install.sh in . ./.. ./../.. bash-2.01$ ls -l install-sh lrwxrwxrwx 1 jcard docentes 30 Dec 8 02:24 install-sh -> /usr/share/automake/install-sh In the linux box where I made the tarball (after cvs update . and ./bootstrap.sh) works OK. Joao ___________________________________________________ I will look into this further. I believe there is a tar parameter to actually put a file in the tarball rather than just leaving a symlink as happened to Joao above. But if I cannot get that to work, I can always try to maintain "make dist" for a while. Alan email: ir...@be... phone: 250-727-2902 FAX: 250-721-7715 snail-mail: Dr. Alan W.
