I cannot configure plplot cvs head against a prefix with installations
of either Tcl/Tk 8.4.1, or for that matter, Tcl/Tk 8.3.4, and have the
build complete successfully.  Looking at the link lines that fail, it
is clear that libraries are being dropped, which contain needed
symbols.  Vince, you're not building on Linux are you?
