This is code contributed under the LGPL by Alessandro Mirone
<mi...@es...> which I (AWI) have modified to make it more configurable
(i.e., install filtering so you don't have to specify PYTHONPATH).  Also, I
have modified the code to use the separate pyqt_pl module which now can
be built in addition to the usual pl module.
