I noticed that as well, and I am not sure how you would modify an existing
example to use this function.

But since plfill3 is not tested by us, I decided users had to be wary of
using this function in any case.  Thus, since Gary, you, and I have all made
educated guesses that plfill3 should use the clipping interface I decided to
put the change into CVS with some warning commentary near the clipping
interface call.
