[Plplot-devel] Please test the new setup.py python module build

In CVS I have replaced the old deprecated "Makefile.pre.in" method of
building plplot python extension modules in Unix/Linux with the new,
approved "setup.py" method.

This new method works fine on my Debian system.  An incomplete test on
RH 7.2 (which uses python-1.5) also worked fine.

Olof et al. also recently adopted the "setup.py" method to build the
python plplot extension modules on the sys/win32/msdev/ platform.

Those of you with an interest in python on either Unix or windows are
urged to give these changes a try from the latest CVS version of PLplot.
