With dyndrivers enabled, I don't see it.

ged$ ./x01c -dev plmeta -o x01c.meta
Plplot library version: 5.1.0
Opened x01c.meta
ged$ ./plrender -i x01c.meta -dev tk
ged$ 

So I'm pretty much stuck on that point.
Hmm.. maybe it is related to the devlist bug.
Please try again with the latest sources.
