Most definitely. This change would open up the same sort of trouble for others who make this mistake. Perhaps the error message can be made clearer - suggesting a solution as I found it. The list of packages is quite long, as for each version of MSVC that is supported there are at least four different choices and the link errors indicate nothing of the sort.

I will commit the reversal in the manner you advocate.
