I do not think make is part of the basic MinGW-w64/Msys2 installation, but "pacman -Q" lists a separate package make, version 4.2.1-1 on my system. I have been using this platform for at least two years now and it is working fine, so there must be a difference in our installations that is causing your problems. But as you do not have time to investigate further, perhaps you could post (private, if you want) the output from "pacman -Q", which lists all the installed packages.
