Just repeated the build experiment for "bare" Windows:

-        CMake, make and make install all work with a destination directory whose name contains spaces

-        However, nmake on the installed examples produces an error message:

            cd c; "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\BIN\amd64\nmake.exe"

The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'cd' : return code '0x1'

Stop.


The problem is probably in the combining of two commands via a semicolon. If I try "cd c; nmake" manually, I get the message "The system cannot find the path specified". It is not splitting up the line into two commands.

Probably this has nothing to do with the spaces issue.
