Hi Alan, these compiler directives are indeed regarded as comments by any compiler other than the one that uses "DEC$" as an indicator. With OpenMP you will find directives like: COMP$ do parallel Such directives are only used when the appropriate compile option is given, otherwise they are merely comments. I should probably add a comment as to their use.
