Hi,

     I see that there is some talk of a new release.  I am just about
ready to commit changes that would add the new gcw/plplotcanvas driver.
Please let me know when a good time to do this will be.  There are changes
to the build process (obviously), and so it would need a bit of testing
first.  Has a date been set for the release?

     I have done a ton of work over the last month or so on the new
gcw/plplotcanvas driver.  I think that you are going to like it!  It even
uses the postscript fonts.  No unicode yet, though.
