#170 wxwidgets device: incorrect resizing of example 17

For other examples resizing (by dragging and dropping a corner of the wxPLViewer GUI) works correctly with the result being a properly rescaled plot displayed in the resized GUI. In contrast to those other examples resizing does not work correctly for example 17. Some times the resized plot simply is not displayed (or a blank is displayed), sometimes a resized plot is rendered correctly. Sometimes the old unscaled plot (suitably clipped) before resizing is rendered, etc. In sum, resizing is unpredictable with this example.
