Thank you! I’ll see that I can integrate it into the docs somehow - a dedicated section for debugging CSRF issues does indeed seem like a good idea. Or if anyone beats me to it, feel free to use the post as a whole or rip out any parts deemed useful for inclusion in the docs or any product READMEs. Awesome post!! I think is a candidate to make it to the Plone docs and have its own section. The troubleshooting of write-on-read transactions is very useful to be included here too: http://docs.plone.org/manage/troubleshooting/transactions.html Thanks! Hey, I just published a post on our development blog on how to debug issues with false positives from automatic CSRF protection (introduced to Plone 4 with the recent plone4.csrffixes security patch): http://devblog.4teamwork.ch/blog/2015/10/12/debugging-csrf-protection-false-positives-in-plone/ If you're developing an add-on and are seeing a dialog that asks the user to confirm their action, this post should help you understand what's going on, and how to debug and fix the issue. We've been using the automatic CSRF protection from plone.protect with Plone 4 for a while now, so I thought I'd share our experiences and some code to help debug the trickier kind of false positives. Have a wonderful conference everyone! Hi everyone My name is Martin Baechtold and I’m a developer at https://www.4teamwork.ch, this is my first message on this list. I’m maintaining a Plone 4.2 site and I’ve encountered a problem with Products.Archetypes 1.8.8 which seems to have been fixed but not released yet. The fix I’m interested in is described here: https://github.com/plone/Products.Archetypes/blob/1.8.x/CHANGES.txt#L12 <https://github.com/plone/Products.Archetypes/blob/1.8.x/CHANGES.txt#L12> It would be very nice if somebody could cut a new 1.8.x release. BTreeFolder2: Our versions.cfg says: "# Products.BTreeFolder2 2.13.4 causes a regression" And I don't see any hint in the 2.13.5 changelog to indicate that this regression would have been solved in the meantime. pytz: Updating was tried as part of a Zope2 versions update, but caused test failures. Some comments by me in the pull request for Plone 5, indicating problems: https://github.com/plone/buildout.coredev/pull/99#issuecomment-136893118 robotframework: I updated several versions, including robotframework, in a pull request last month, but that lead to problems. See https://github.com/plone/buildout.coredev/pull/104 Also, I included some robotframework versions in this pull request for increasing the Zope2 versions, but that needlessly increased the range of that pull request so I removed that part: https://github.com/plone/buildout.coredev/pull/100 Updating robotframework-selenium2library should probably all work, but some tests may need fixing. Summary for all three: it should be doable to update these versions, but several tests will need fixing, including possibly some fixes to code used at run-time. I'm using the latest robotframework-selenium2library 1.7.4 with Plone 4.3.6 without any issues.
