Martin, The challenge is that learnplone won't squash down nicely into a single Reference Manual. We have a lot of separate, task-based how-tos, but also an extensive set of Glossary entries, a pile of short screencasts, a number of FAQs, and several multi-part tutorials. Some of these could probably be aggregated into a single Reference Manual, but particularly the glossary entries and screencasts won't merge into the current plone.org version of PHC very nicely. If that were possible we'd probably be happy to give up the "themeability" that LearnPlone affords us. But the ability to refer people to specific task-based bits of documentation as they ask us questions is really important. The good news is that Joel Davis of NPowerSeattle is doing a little work on a product that should make it possible to easily embed Flash movies (screencasts) into normal Pages (and other things) using Kupu and some clever bits of Javascript. So there may soon be a way out of the woods that would not require extensive interventions to PHC. More on that as it develops. best, jon |
