Well, it *can* go "BEEP" - but only simple single-frequency tones.
I think SL is out too!

Lego Mindstorms robotics *is* great fun though - every Geek should
have one in his Xmas stocking...it's about $200 though. Get the "Robotics
Invention" set and NOT the "Robotics Discovery" set.

I'm working on building a unicycle with my kid.  Programming it to
stay balanced at the same time as moving and steering is going to
be challenging.
