Hello, The skins are 3ds files, which are 3D Studio Max object files. Hello, The ObserverCamera is located at: gazebo/server/models/ObserverCam The ObserverCamera uses a Camera sensor, which handles rendering: gazebo/server/sensors/Camera Could you explain your <viewModel> field idea? hi and thanks again... what i basically mean is to have in the description of the models in the .world file an xml field which turns on or off the model window on startup but you still have it in the control menu as it is now... for example.... <model:ObserverCam> ... <viewField>false</viewField> </model:ObserverCAm> <model:SonyVID30> ... <viewField>true,true</viewField> </model:SonyVID30> when you start wxgazebo with the above world file it will only show you the view from the camera and the pan/tilt control menu lets say while tehe observercam window is initially closed... practically speaking in my case... 1. it allows me not to have a glance of an unknown world/terrain (but this can be done with the ways from the previous email) 2. will speed up my simulation by the fractional amount of a few mouse clicks - seconds... however, if smn frequently uses other visualisation tools of the gazebo then it may be nice to start up/dsiable them at will... hmmm smth last that i suddely thought is if a method like that could be added to classes.... so you can pseudo-simulate simple component failures.... again in the camera class if there was a method DisableCameraViewing which destroys and "disables" (cannot open) the camera viewing window... then you could call it from your client programs to simulate a camera failure by closing the camera viewing window and not allowing the user to enable till EnableCameraViewing; OpenCameraViewing... cheers, yiannis Nate Koenig wrote: > Hello, > > The ObserverCamera is located at: > gazebo/server/models/ObserverCam > > The ObserverCamera uses a Camera sensor, which handles rendering: > gazebo/server/sensors/Camera > > Could you explain your <viewModel> field idea?
