The Platonos Project / News: Recent posts

This is primarily a minor bug fix and somewhat important change release. Nothing major, no API break, etc. It's our last Milestone build before we release RC1 in two weeks or so.

The Platonos Development Team is thrilled to provide java developers with our latest version of the Platonos Plugin Engine, version 1.0 M3. This is a major milestone achievement as it marks a stable API and the days to 1.0 final are now in sight! Besides many changes and enhancements, the code has now been fully javadoc'd, a number of unit tests are in place, and a quickstart guide is up on the site. The next milestone is our RC1, which we are hoping to reach in three weeks time after users have had a chance to try out and test the M3 release.

We are happy to announc the 1st mileston build of the Platonos PluginEngine project. At this point the engine is stable enough for use, but there are a few features left to add, more aggressive testing to do, a few minor bug fixes, and a bit more javadoc updating/adding to do before the final release is ready.

Please give it a go. Join up on the mail list and ask questions if need be. We are working on some tutorials and documentation as time allows and will soon have some ready to explain the basic concepts of the engine and how to use it in your own projects.... read more
