Hello all,

Alex had a few "if DOS then ..." requests. I'm fairly sure ./configure
could handle that and could pass the needed -D options to gcc.

I don't have any time this week to look into it (Dutch mode: ik moet
surprises voor sinterklaas maken), but I'll do it somewhere in
december. Feel free to put in hacks for the moment, but please keep a
list of them, so that

a) We can get them out again.

b) I've got a list to work from.

Perhaps just chuck it into a bug report, assigned to me.
