Ok, mail client or mailing list or something has stripped everything I typed within chevrons.  So my original email didn't make much sense.  (Whoever thought it was a good idea to support HTML format in emails should be incarcerated for causing a public nuisance).

I've attached my last mail as a file.  Fortunately I'd copied it to the clipboard before I sent it.
