I have only just realised what you meant.  Wow, that took a few days for the penny to drop!

So, you're saying you would call something 1.0b1, then 1.0b2 before the official release 1.0 becomes available.

Hmmm, interesting numbering scheme, never thought of doing it that way.  See the problem.

Maybe package maps can help.....starting a new thread now.
