If I start a new Petri Net, add a few symbols, and attempt to print the file or export to PostScript and then render the PostScript with, say, Acrobat Distiller, I get the expected result.

There comes a certain point, however, after which the result is a big black box in the centre of the page (either printing or distilling). I haven't quite figured out whether it is related to the number of symbols on the net or the number of editing operations.

This has been a problem with both PIPE 2.3 and 2.4.

I am running PIPE on Mac OS X 10.4.9 with everything up-to-date in both an OS and Java sense.

Export to PNG is unaffected.

Attached file includes the PIPE XML file, the .ps and .pdf that exhibit the problem, and the PNG file that doesn't.

On the off-chance that this turns out to be a problem specific to Mac OS X (ie, you open the .ps or .pdf and see the network instead of a black box), the tiff in the package shows what I see when opening the .pdf in Acrobat.
