When a FONTFAMILY contains a lowdensity font and a
highdensity font, the first displays correctly but the
second font displays as a strange pattern of dots.
When the highdensity font is defined before the
lowdensity font in the fontfamily definition, then
both fonts are corrupted.

I had the same problem. I used DENSITY 1 and DENSITY 2.
When using DENSITY 72 and DENSITY 144 instead, the problem
was solved.
