Hi All. I just recently switched to using Gaim from my old IM-client (GnomeICU) and I have a few questions and perhaps a few requests. I don't know if this is the right forum, but there were no other lists on Sourceforge... Each time someone sends me a message it pops up in my face. Is it possible to delay the messages until I click ex. the panel applet? There is a plugin that does this more or less, but it delays messages even if I have the conversation window open.. It would seem more natural to me if messages got delayed only if the conversation window was closed. The ideal for me would be if both the panel-applet and the buddy list each flashed a "new message" icon. The Buddy list could flash the icon next to the sender. GnomeICU displayed a summary count of how many of your contact were online in the applet - I really liked that. Also it displayed a short list of the contacts in the tool-tip menu which was prety neat as well. Each time I close/open my IM window Gaim inserts a "new conversation" log.. Is it possible to switch that off? I open/close the conversation window many times during a conversation. The loggin allso tries to keep mesages related to a conversation together - this doesn't make sense when opening and closing the window during a conversation. Mailing lists on website: it would be nice if there was a more obvious way of getting to the lists other than going to the projects page on Sourceforge. Also an archive would be nice - this might save some questions from people like me =] Documentation - I switched to Gaim for the multi-protocol features. Being new to MSN it wasn't obvious were what had to go in the "accounts" editor. Some documentation would be nice perhaps in the gnome-help system? -- Regards Martin Leopold.
