Are you sure overriding the default "select" (and consequently "copy")
behavior is desired? If so, I think a more hyperlinky behavior would
be appropriate. Hovering the mouse over it turns it to hyperlink
style, single clicking opens an IM, right-clicking opens a menu
including "Copy screenname".
