I'm now starting to see reports in #gaim on irc.freenode.net that the gaim silc prpl does not in fact work with 0.9.13. further, it does not appear possible to use gaim's silc prpl with 2 different silc networks, even with different nicknames on each (which should not be a requirement, you should be able to have the same sn on different networks). further, there are bugs http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1170853&group_id=235&atid=100235 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1033303&group_id=235&atid=100235 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1039864&group_id=235&atid=100235 in addition to the various reports I have made on this mailing list. the above bugs partially duplicate the ones listed here. This is a significant concern, as it appears that gaim's silc prpl is functioning significantly less than the silc client you all have on silcnet.org, yet patches have not been coming in. Lastly, there seems to be a decided bias against working with debian, and presumably other distros, to ensure that the toolkit can be packaged in such a way as to meet their needs. luke On Wed, Apr 06, 2005 at 01:33:26PM +0200, Pekka Riikonen wrote: > Hello, > > I have just released new version of the SILC Toolkit.
