#24 Split IMs?

I've noticed that the encrypted binaries are often much
longer than the original text, and the limit on the
length of IMs that some protocols impose means that you
can only put about a sentence or two and then you run
out of room. I think the simplest way to work around
this would probably be to transparently split up the
IMs and send them seperately, then reassemble them on
the other side. You could put in an option for how
large they should get before you split them, or just
find out what the max is for the different networks.

Well, the plugin does currently split the IMs up... it just
doesn't stitch them together on the other side. Is the
current message splitting not working for you?

By the way- sorry for the long lag. I wasn't getting email
notices about posts to the Feature Requests forum (now fixed).

currently, if I type a long message, I get multiple of these:

Last outgoing message not received properly- resetting
    Outgoing message lost.
I assume that somehow it's splitting it up too big. this is
with yahoo IM, but I think the same is true on aim too.
