Just getting over my 2 day illness. I'll spare the details just too say pretty much every bodily orifice was well utilized. :p Anyway there is one bug I'd like to investigate further (713132), but after that are we good to go with releasing 0.2.0? After talking with Matt it was confirmed that in it's current form FatCat would not support categorizing multiple items per module. He and I agreed on a recommend solution allowing for backwards compatibility but I don't believe this was implemented before phpWS 0.9.1 came out. I would like to us get 0.2.0 out because there is a fair number of other bug fixes etc. Perhaps it would have been wiser to get an 0.1.1 bugfix release out there, perhaps it's not too late for that. Anyway let me know what you guys think. Now that 0.9.1 is out we can go ahead with the 0.2.0 release. Don. |

Actually the bug was 719859. Although now that I get back to playing with it I have some more thoughts: 1. Should the "Use Price" setting be moved to the listing class level, similar to what we did with the "Use Mortgage Calculator" setting? I think so. 2. In the side menu, "View Listings" and "Search" had become submit buttons instead of links due to us using the drop-down of listing classes. In a single-class environment, I can just use normal hrefs and pass in the id of the only class. I hate having to use those submit buttons. Is there a way to use normal hrefs to submit a form? I know it can be done with javascript. I just hate having to use javascript due to certain browsers from the Evil Empire(TM) not supporting things like standards. Time for bed. Don. I'm going ahead with moving Use Price to the class level. I will also be doing that change where only one class means using the href links ont he side instead of the submit buttons. Let me know what you guys are thinking about. Don. "Oww, sure is quiet in here today." "Yes, a little too quiet if you know what I mean." "Hmm, I'm afraid I don't." "You see, bees usually make a lot of noise. No noise suggests no bees." "Oh, I understand now. Oh look, there goes one. " "To the beemobile!" "You mean your Chevy?" "Yes" I've committed the changes I talked about in my earlier emails. I closed out all the bugs except one which I can't duplicate but the submitter seems reliable so I want to make sure. After I do should we release 0.2.0 final or go with an RC2? Don. |

Don, Sounds good to me. I don't have a lot of time to test but I'm sure if it works for you it will be fine. I'm going to test the update script also first a couple of times, using the sqldump from the demo site. I'll let you guys know when it's close. Don. Well I'm squared away except for the manager reloading thing that I posted to the phpws dev list about tonight. We'll see if any better solutions come up. I'll release 0.2.0 RC 2 for now to keep up in the spirit of "release early. release often.". Don. Hey fellas. Sorry I've been so quiet lately. I've been dealing with taking a class and doing some pretty intense coding for the university. I should be more active once summer time comes around. Anyway, I saw your post on the dev list and what you did should have worked. Another method you might want to try is using the phpws core function killSession($sessionName). It basically just does what you did by hand in your update.php script but it may be worth a try. In my own code when I reinitialize any session I do something like this: $_SESSION["MyManager"] = new MyManager; I hope some of that helps. Steven recommended just unsetting the session var like unset($_SESSION["SES_LISTINGS_MANAGER"]); and leaving it. Then the index.php will create a new session after the page from the update is loaded. I'm going to try that out later. Don. On Thu, 24 Apr 2003 ad...@tu... wrote: > Hey fellas. Sorry I've been so quiet lately.
