I need to upload PDF,DOC, XLS and other format files to a listing. In addition to the standard JPG,PNG,GIF type image files. I have a custom script that allows this, but want to switch to phpwslistings for content management.
Any ideas?

Since phpwslistings is part of phpwebsite why not use the phpwebsite DOCUMENT manager to upload your docs.. then just add a link in your listing to the correct document number?

Not sure if this will help, but I've had to do a bit of training on document manager use with my techno-challenged clients. Once I walk them through the process and have them do it once, it sticks every time. You're right, it's a bit strange, but it does work and is already there. You might just need to run the really challenged clients through it a couple times or provide them with a step-by-step.

Sounds like you've been there, done that. Problem is, I had this particular client on a custom script that handled PDF, DOC -- almost any format. And it would allow the details and images/documents to be uploaded in 1 step.
Best case with phpwslistings, it's a multi-step process (add listing, then add images)
If we use doc manager, it's add listing, add images, add docs to doc manager, then add link from listing to doc manager. Pretty complicated.
Moved to phpwebsite to get a more integrated solution, but may have to look at another option.

Thought of that, but am developing site for input by techno-challenged users.
Using the doc manager and creating the correct links to it is cumbersome at best, impossible for some users to conceive.
Thanks for the input!
Any takers on this?
