Running the function causes the following error: element has no properties Line: 91 Please note that Internet Explorer may partially hide this error from the UI. I suggest using a real browser for testing this, like Mozilla. I put this page into a JavaScript debugger, and the error is being caused because the Text Area "Message_body" does not have an "ID" element in the tag -- it only has a "NAME" element. The JavaScript function for the Spell Checker (in all of PHPWebSite) uses the "getElementById()" function in JavaScript. Since no ID element is defined, the error is caused. I did further testing and noticed that the Spell Checker seems to work fine in other modules (like the Announcements mod). The Bulletin Board system is the only one affected that I've found. Since the Bulletin Board module uses the EZForm module in the core of PHPWebSite, I almost posted the bug in their system. However, since only the Bulletin Board seems to have the problem in my testing, I decided to post this here. I did a quick analysis of the EZForm module and couldn't find an obvious bug. However, I haven't thoroughly researched how this module functions, but the ID obviously isn't getting set correctly. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks! <b>Version information:</b> PHPWebSite: 0.10 (normal "release" version) PHPWSBB: 1.0 PHP: 4.3.9 DB: MySQL ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562402&aid=1086227&group_id=81260 |

The good news is that not a single person has uninstalled the module in phpWebSite 0.10.0. The bad news is that if someone does, it will hose their site hardcore. I discovered this problem on a development site and not a public site (thank God). uninstall.php has the following lines: // Remove search registry for old core if($GLOBALS['core']->version < '0.9.3-2') It's still using the old version check. It creates a false positive, and tries to remove the module from the non-existant search table. It dies of course, and now the module is only half uninstalled. Of course, the site no longer loads because it still expects the module to be there. Ewwww. Release is done. For those release techs, I've put my cvsrelease script in the phpwsbb group bin dir on shell.sf.net. cvsrelease -h should tell you how to run it. For this last release I did this: cvsrelease -Tz -t PHPWSBB-1-0-0 -r 1.0.0 phpwsbb The -T will tell it to tag with tag of PHPWSBB-1-0-0. -z tells it to also build a .zip archive in addition to .tar.gz. Usually that is all I do, just update the tag and -r numbers. So phpwsbb is now yours. Use it wisely, use it in peace. Don. Alright I've finally had a chance to test this myself. I applied some bug fixes from Steven and tested both a funky phresh install and an upgrade from a copy of manitowocbandits.com. Both went well. There is still a bug that I introduced way back. When upgrading messages, it sets the admin as the "last" person to update the thread, which is technically true but that's not what we want. We want the owner of the last message to be the last editor of that thread. I'd like to have that bug fixed. Basically it will involve updating Thread::updateThread() and Forum::updateForum() to find the owner of the most recent message and thread respectively. I'll leave it as an exercise for someone to fix since I need to take a break. Other than that I think we're ready for release. Don. --=20 Don Seiler do...@se... Bugs item #1049576, was opened at 2004-10-18 17:02 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562402&aid=1049576&group_id=81260 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Steven Levin (jydallstar) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Problem when selecting a new avitar Initial Comment: Found in current CVS version: When going to the Avitar Gallery and choose select from the drop-down and click go without checking an image it removes the association. Is this expected? What I would expect is it to not do anything, just go back to the users settings with the same avitar as before, or show an error message. Bug also generates this php warning. Warning: pos(): Passed variable is not an array or object in /srv/www/htdocs/phpwebsite/steven/phpwebsite/mod/phpwsbb/index.php on line 59 Quick fix is to change line 59 of index.php from: $_POST['IMGLib_selected_image'] = pos($_POST['IMGLib_selected_image']); to: if(isset($_POST['IMGLib_selected_image'])) $_POST['IMGLib_selected_image'] = pos($_POST['IMGLib_selected_image']); I will commit this fix if it is satisfactory, just let me know.
