Hi Folks, i'd made a secure_wiki.sh. It will set the permissions after an "tar -x" for the 1.3.10 wiki files. Maybe following dists will contain it... so cheerio Joe |

Hello, I'm using the Raw HTML plugin to draw a complex table. I've tried to put some header tags (h3, h4, etc.) into the table, but they don't render correctly. Nor, for some reason, does using the font tag to increase the size work. Can anyone explain this? The wiki page (without the header tags, so I can at least show bold text) can be found here: http://www.sd-commission.org.uk/wiki/ Also, I'm still having authentification & session issues. Anyone help is *very* gratefully received. Regards, Tom |

Try to disable output compression (which migth have problems with certain old servers or proxies), but I wonder if this is it. config.ini: COMPRESS_OUTPUT = false -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/ |

OK, I recently upgraded ( hardware and software ) and wanted to migrate our companies wiki. We went from phpwiki-1.3.3 to 1.3.10. Both are accessed through apache. The 1.3.3 install on the old server was fine. I moved the pages over to the new server using one of the page snapshot deals, and I can easily view pages on the new wiki. The problem comes when I edit them. Editing wiki pages _usually_ causes the content to get way messed up. Its like instead of what I submitted, it makes three or four copies of the page and then shuffles them all together. Content is randomly copied and pasted ( or so it seems ) into the new page. Obviously this is not a good thing, we are not really able to edit our wiki pages currently. Does anyone have any advice? Has this problem been seen before? I'm working on a plugin that programmatically creates headers (via TransformText("!Header")). Because the text of the header isn't in the wiki page's source, the following won't work: <?plugin CreateToc ?> <?plugin MyPlugin ?> A comment in Template.php says that there is CreateToc support if I pass the parsed markup to the plugin as $dbi->_markup. I tried grepping for an existing plugin that uses _markup like this, but I found nothing. Without an example, I'm confused about the specific syntax of getting this call to work. Here's my best guess: In MyPlugin.php: function run($dbi, $argstr, &$request, $basepage) { $html = HTML(); $toc = new WikiPlugin_CreateToc(); $content = $this->_generateMyContentAndHeaders(); $html->pushContent($toc->run($dbi, "", $request, $basepage)); $html->pushContent($content); return $html; } Alas, this gives me an error says I "cannot instantiate non-existent class wikiplugin_createtoc." Changing it from WikiPlugin_CreateToc to just CreateToc gives me the same error. How do I get an instance of CreateToc to run programmatically, and how to I pass it the proper data? Thanks! -- AA |

I see those errors too, and I think they're related to Postgres timing out or closing connections which the PHP software expects to stay open. I think. I don't know much about PHP or Postgres. Hopefully someone here does. Jack. -- Jack Twilley jmt at twilley dot org http colon slash slash www dot twilley dot org slash tilde jmt slash |

I'm using Postgres 7.4.1 as my backend here. I click on my wiki's home link, and I get FrontPage. Then I click on WikiWikiWeb, and get... FrontPage. Then I click on HowToUseWiki, and get... FrontPage. All the links take me to FrontPage. The link I click on for WikiWikiWeb looks like this: http://www.twilley.org/phpwiki/index.php?WikiWikiWeb But it only displays FrontPage. On this new Wiki I'm trying to set up, some users stopped working... (go ahead and try to log in). Working: NoName and TestAccount Not Working: EricFrost and BillThoen http://www.mapinfo-l.com/wiki/ It fails by saying: CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. I reproduced the problem by creating a new account, TestTwo. I set a password, logged out, now get the same error when trying to log back in. If I delete the user's page, then it lets me log in as that user and create a new page.. Any insights would be appreciated! Eric |

Another comment/fix for PluginManager: In the function _generateColheadings, the foreach loop should be pushing HTML::th, not HTML::td. The table that PluginManager generates is rather crowded because of all the default values listed in the last column. Is there a better way to add cellpadding than to hardcode it into this table? I don't want all class="pagelist" tables to have this padding, since they usually aren't this crowded. -- AA |

On my wiki, PluginManager dies with a "memory exhausted" fatal error unless I add the following code in the foreach loop of : 113 foreach($plugins as $pluginName) { 114 if ($pluginName{0} == "_") 115 continue; Is there something strange going on with my setup, or should the underscore-plugins really be ignored? -- AA |

Why does lib/Theme.php hardcode in that all unknown links be underlined? Shouldn't it use HTML::raw instead of HTML::u, and then allow the themes to decide how to decorate class="wikiunknown" and its ilk? -- AA |

Subject line says it all. I have apache2 and php4 installed from ports, and I have gallery installed from ports. Gallery works fine, and gallery's phpinfo.php shows SERVER_PORT and SERVER_NAME just fine. phpwiki doesn't yet have a phpinfo.php (I made an RFE) but my links all look like this: What is a <a href="http://:?WikiWikiWeb">WikiWikiWeb</a>? A description of this application. Other than hardcoding the variables, what's necessary to fix this? As I mentioned in my other e-mail, I seem to have stumbled upon some bugs in the SQL session code. But I cannot find any useful source of information on session options. So far I've tried setting "USE_DB_SESSION = false", which makes no discernable difference (i.e. sessions are still lost), but I can't fathom what other options exist. To make things stranger still, sessions work fine for admin, but not for the user account. So if someone could point me to or provide me with the session options, and some guidance, I'd be extremely grateful. Regards, Tom |

Ok, here is something else having problems with the Crao theme, but not the MacOSX theme... Blog plugin. If your using the Crao theme and try to add a blog entry with the blog plugin, you get the following error: --------------------------------------------- lib\plugin\WikiBlog.php (In template 'browse') (In template 'body') (In template 'html'):155: Notice[8]: Undefined index: pagename Fatal PhpWiki Error No pagename specified for wikiblog --------------------------------------------- Using the MacOSX them with exactly the same text works fine. I guess I'm in real trouble here, because everyone LOVES the Crao theme :-) so I'll hear a lot of grumbling if I have to switch back. My current solution is to have a copy of the wiki in a phpwiki2 directory that uses the MacOSX theme. To wrap this up: In addition to the problems previously fixed in this thread, I also had reset the wiki user's password, to make sure I knew what it was. Except, clumsy me, I typo'd the password so that it no longer matched the password in config.ini. So now my wiki is back up and running. Thanks for the help with the other issues I was having! :) -- AA |

(Note: cross-posted to the SF support forum.) When I first set up my wiki, the first non-admin user I created was ArthaeyAngosii, which I had intended to use for most of my wiki editing. But after the first time I signed in with that name, I get the following error: ----- Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0 ----- I tried looking through the PhpWiki database in MySQL, but I couldn't find any mention of that user name that might be preventing it from logging in. Where should I be looking for this active session? I had a friend log in with a new name, to make sure it wasn't *all* non-admin logins having this problem. She was able to create a new user and log in and out repeatedly, so it really does seem like it's just this one name. -- AA |
