It seems the contents of the boost directory are the same as the contents of the setup directory. The MODULE_TUTORIAL.txt says that install.sql and uninstall.sql go into the setup dir, while install.php and uninstall.php go into the boost dir. Reading the tutorial it seems the intent is that they all should be in the same dir, and that is reflected in the actual CVS. FYI. Just need to know so I can bring my mod in line. Don. |

Hi folks, I'm not sure if this is the right list - but I try it anyway... I installed 0.8.3 some days ago and, of course, it runs very good! But I get an error message when I try to delete a weblink category. It says 'Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/mod/weblink/weblink_functions.php on line 616' I'm not that good at PHP - can someone help me please? Btw, I installed the swedish version of PWS. Regards, Pontus |

-1 for renaming all the core files. They already reflect the class names. The PHPWS_ appended to the beginning of each class simply designates it as a phpwebsite-specific class and is the same for all core classes. Plus if we made that change, to stick to the standard, every module currently written would have to change their file names as well. As far as the pear stuff goes...i added in a fix to Core.php that will include the correct core files. I fixed this issue in cvs just now. I simply put a './' in each of the requires, letting php know that we want the File.php and all other core files in the core directory and not to append the pear include path. As Steven and I have been working with the PHPWS_Error, PHPWS_Item and PHPWS_Manager classes, we've created several core templates. To store these templates we've created a core directory in the current theme's templates directory and look there to get them. Note: A module writer that is using these templates has the ability to change them at any time to their module's specific templates. I want to propose that we create a templates directory in the phpwebsite root and use it for core templates like these. It will not affect any code unless you are using the classes mentioned above. As far as I know, that only affects phatform_v2. The theme writer can still create a core directory in the theme's template directory and those templates will be used instead the ones in the base/templates directory. Matt, I prefer the Unicode hex entity to the named entity. Unicode hex entities: + Better support in browsers + Ability to display more characters + Standard format for entity string (easier to test for) - Syntax not as widely used as named entities Named entities: + Syntax known by most website developers - String length varies with name (harder to test for) - Not all SGML named entities are supported by browsers -- Mike Noyes <mhnoyes @ users.sourceforge.net> http://sourceforge.net/users/mhnoyes/ http://leaf-project.org/ http://sitedocs.sf.net/ http://ffl.sf.net/ |
