I tried doing a phresh install from the latest CVS. However, after going through the config setup, phpws had written a 0kb config.php which was (obviously) completely empty. So naturally when I continued on phpws didn't know anything about the database and couldn't continue. Don. |

Please test the new CVS module menu. Here is how it works: Look in the adminMenu directory under the user template directory. There a menu named default.tpl. For the boxes in default, look in the directory under it of the same name. There are four boxes: deity, personal, content, and core. These separate the mod icons. Each box has a helper with a '_mod' suffix. These help plot the icons. To add module icons to the menu, open the User Manager and click on 'Edit Menu On' in the panel. Pick a module icon in the drop down box, then pick the box you wish to load it into. Click 'Load' to place it in there. Click the X next to an icon to remove it. Click the up and down arrows to move it. Do not put two icons of the same module in one box for now. Ok here is what has changed. After many, many, many pear issues will are going to just hard code them in as default. The pear libs will come with phpwebsite and will be in the ./libs/pear dir. Some of the reasons we have done this are benchmark is not included in the 1.0 release and the core debugger needs this. We have also had a lot of trouble with the HTML_Templet_IT item and this will stop all of that. This can be easily undone by the advanced user. You just comment out the top line on the ./core/Core.php file. The pear libs are not in cvs but this option will remain commented out except for releases. This should make the developers lives easer just keep you main system libs up to date with pear stable releases on pear.php.net. We will also have them available on our site as they were before. -- Jeremy Agee phpWebSite Development Team (http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu) Appalachian State University SF.net id: jagee or 94756 |

Hi! I'm new to phpws and have a problem. In Europe we start the week at mondays... I have set '$start_on_monday = 1;' in 'mod/calendar/calendar_config.php' so everything looks OK at the startpage. The problem is if I'm in day view on a sunday and click on 'week view'... I get the _next_ week in my browser, not the week ending with the sunday... Any ideas? Pontus |

Thing have been odd and some pear libs seem to have moved from where we have it. php-4.3 or pear1.0 and the IT stuff. I will be trying to resolve this today so everyone may need to get our new libs or switch to the std ones. Ill let everyone know but your cvs copy's may come to a halt if you update and have the old libs. It should not be a big deal however. Just a dir switch out or del the pear_path.php file. -- Jeremy Agee phpWebSite Development Team (http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu) Appalachian State University SF.net id: jagee or 94756 |

Those lucky SOBs I can't believe they canceled class for just six inches. I only got out class once in my 4.5 years. And that was after 2 feet fell overnight my freshman year. The school closed for the first time in 10 years and that was because the National Guard shut the town down. > Just received an email. > > Classes are cancelled today. > > Matt > > -- > Matthew McNaney > Internet Systems Architect > Electronic Student Services > Appalachian State University > Phone: 828-262-6493 > phpwebsite.appstate.edu > ess.appstate.edu > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.NET email is sponsored by: > SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! > http://www.vasoftware.com > _______________________________________________ > Phpwebsite-developers mailing list > Php...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/phpwebsite-developers -- Steven Levin Electronic Student Services Appalachian State University Phone: 828.262.2431 PhpWebsite Development Team URL: http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu Email: st...@NO... |

That's cool...I've been working with several students up here, "training" them on how to develop for phpwebsite. It's helped me to figure out how I'd like to put together a developer "howto" doc that should eventually replace the module_tutorial.txt file. As soon as I get all these cats coding up a storm, I'll put in time on that document.
