Yes it is _supposed_ to work. But a fair amount of the SQL syntax used is still mysql-centric. I've been focusing on the datatypes that I thought would break compliance. I guess the best way to find things is to actually use it. Don. Mike, That's sort of what I meant. I mean all the mods that have been released are there. I guess I was looking to expand that and have a list that shows "future" mods that devs have started, but not released. Maybe even have a donations button for uncompleted projects. I agree. I asked about this a while ago. That modforge site is rather unorganized when it comes to listing all the modules there are. We need basically a directory of modules, both finished and in progress, along with a categorization of what purpose they will serve. Of course a directory mod would be perfect for this. *ducks* Don. Hey, I'm sure many of you out there are creating some new modules for phpWebSite 0.9.0. I'm actually an active participant in phpwsListings which just released phpwsListings 0.2.0 rc1. Anyway I was wondering if we could come up with a central place for developers to post modules they are working on and their progress as well as request for modules. Now I don't expect developers to necessarily give access to the general public or anyone for that matter, to the modules they are working on. I would like to see a place where everyone could go to see a list of up and coming modules so they would have something to look forward to as well as possibly joining a project or even donate to the project. Today we've unleashed phpwsListings 0.2.0 rc 1. Major feature upgrade is the listing classes abstraction that allows the user to list multiple types of items. Also various bug fixes and other feature requests. See our Changelog for details. The new version is dependent on phpWS cvs that will (hopefully) become phpws 0.9.1. So if you want to test it you need to run a phpWS cvs install. http://phpwslistings.sourceforge.net (sf.net is down right now tough) Thanks, Don, Mike, & Adam |

Mike Noyes pointed me out the PEAR Date classes that have a compare function. However for that you need to instantiate two PEAR Date objects and than pass those objects into the Date::compare() function. Seems like overkill to me. For now I'm converting my dates to unix timestamps and comparing <,==,> that way. *shrug* Don. On Mon, 24 Mar 2003, Don Seiler wrote: > Is there not a standard function to compare two dates? Is there not a standard function to compare two dates? Something link Date_Cmp in perl? If not, can we come up with one that is agreeable and put it in core/DateTime.php ? Basically a function that takes two date parameters (timestamps?), and returns -1 if param A is less than param B, 0 if they are equal, and 1 if param A is greater than param B. Any thoughts? Don. |

Two ways. You can either have index.php refresh the $_REQUEST variable as it's outputting new pages, or you'll need a custom module to basically do the same thing. Option #2 would be better, because you won't have to keep customizing index.php every time you upgrade phpWS and you can add logging & reporting capabilities. -Eloi- ----- Original Message ----- From: <su...@bo...> To: <php...@li...> Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2003 1:30 PM Subject: [Phpwebsite-developers] Question > Does anyone know how to add a REF=5454 on the URL and have it stay using > pagemaster. I just ran across a bug in a function I submitted, moveElement in core/Array.php. Certain types of arrays won't process properly. It stems from not telling array_reverse to preserve the keys. Just change line 102 from $array = array_reverse($array); to $array = array_reverse($array, true); and change line 114 from $new_array = array_reverse($new_array); to $new_array = array_reverse($new_array, true); Sorry I didn't catch that before. -Eloi- |

Any chance on having mkdate in the core Datetime class take in a string and check if the string is long enough and if so parse the time? Basically 8 chars would mean no time, another 6 (for 14) means date and time. I'll be emulating in my own class for now. Don. |
